Understand PicoWay

PicoWay is a picosecond laser. It delivers energy in extremely short pulses, which is used to target pigment and ink while limiting heat in the surrounding skin.

It is commonly used for tattoo removal, pigmentation, and improving the look of skin texture and scarring. But not every skin or concern is suited to it, and the right settings depend on your skin type, history, and how your skin presents on the day.

That is why, at in. pelle, your clinician assesses your skin and confirms suitability before any laser treatment is prescribed.

Good laser results rarely start with the strongest setting. They start with the right assessment.

What we talk through in your consultation

Your consultation is where we work out whether PicoWay is right for you. These are some of the concerns clients bring to us.

And what we check first

We look at your skin type, sun exposure and tan, medications, skin history, and your current products, so treatment is planned safely.

  • Unwanted tattoos you would like to fade or remove
  • Sun spots and uneven pigmentation
  • Post-inflammatory marks left behind by breakouts
  • Acne scarring and uneven skin texture
  • Dull skin that has lost its clarity
  • Enlarged-looking pores and fine lines
  • Not knowing if laser is right for you

Your clinician then prescribes your treatment based on what we find.

The in.pelle difference

At in.pelle, skin is not treated as a trend; it is understood through science.

We are a dermal clinician-led clinic, where treatments are prescribed, not chosen. Every client journey begins with a comprehensive consultation and introductory treatment, so your skin is assessed in real time and treated based on how it presents on the day. There are no preset menus, no fixed plans, and no one-size-fits-all approach.

That matters even more with laser. Settings, spacing between sessions and aftercare all depend on your skin, and we plan them with your safety first.

Every client is guided with clarity and intention: what we are doing, why we are doing it, and what to expect.

This is skin, done properly.

Questions before you book

What is PicoWay?

PicoWay is a picosecond laser that delivers energy in very short pulses. It is used for concerns such as tattoos, pigmentation and skin texture. Your clinician will explain how it applies to your skin.

Am I suitable for PicoWay?

Suitability depends on your skin type, recent sun exposure or tan, medications, skin history and your concern. This is assessed in your consultation before any treatment is performed.

Does it hurt?

Most people describe a snapping or flicking sensation, and comfort varies between individuals and areas. Your clinician will talk you through what to expect and how comfort is managed.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your concern, skin and goals. Tattoos and pigmentation generally need a series of sessions spaced apart. After your assessment, your clinician will give you an honest estimate.

Is there downtime?

Some redness or sensitivity afterwards is common, and the treated area needs careful aftercare and sun protection. Your clinician will give you specific guidance for your treatment.

Can I choose my treatment settings?

No. At in. pelle, treatments are prescribed by your clinician after your consultation and skin assessment. You will always be told what we are doing and why.

How long is the appointment and what does it cost?

The PicoWay Consultation + Introductory Treatment takes 60 minutes, and consultations start from $100.

How should I prepare?

Avoid sun exposure and tanning before your visit, and tell us about your current products, medications and skin conditions. Arrive with the area to be treated clean and free of makeup or lotions.
